Agents of Dionysius

There is a desperate need, rather desire, that is bubbling and rumbling under our very noses. It is the need to crush smash the head of tyranny that lingers so dangerously above us, like an ACME trap setup by a rather malicious coyote in a famous cartoon. Yet, we cannot escape it with as much ease as the famous road-runner, we neither possess he speed nor his quick and carefree abilities.

With the rise of Trumpism, we are yet again facing a world quickly turning towards prejudicial and fraying values. Is this the fate the world at large is bound to, simply because the USA operates as a sort of pre-WWII British Empire. With is numerous bases, world leading logistics and ability to mobilize their forces in a moment’s notice, other nations have become wary of the powers that rule this nation every four years. We are again at a point when a wannabe tyrant is in charge. There is verbal spat taking place, with countries like Denmark, France, Columbia, and Canada having to release statements through official government channels to show a nationalistic solidarity. But will nationalism be enough, or will nations have to create blocs against the USA that don’t involve China?

A third possibility is also present. Can the democrats in the states mobilize effectively to render this government a lame duck? Time will tell!
